This tabletop lamp is made from merbau hardwood and adorned with approximately 200 hand-cut brass pipes. Beyond its appealing aesthetics and practical functionality, this handmade piece carries a personal design narrative.

I intended to create a functioning tabletop lamp from locally sourced raw materials, which proved to be a significant challenge in late 2020. Over the course of a year, the material and shape of this lamp organically evolved, allowing me the freedom to explore the process of making without initially designing it. The waving shape of the brass tubes reflects the unpredictable nature of the times we faced in 2020 and 2021.
